267 Mr. Deenihan asked the Minister for Education if he will give details of those commitments given under the education section of the Programme for Economic and Social Progress on which his Department have not yet acted; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

268 Mr. Deenihan asked the Minister for Education if he will outline the progress made by his Department in fulfilling the commitments given in the education section of the Programme for Economic and Social Progress.

I propose to take Questions Nos. 267 and 268 together.

Action has been initiated in respect of all the commitments under the education section of theProgramme for Economic and Social Progress.

My Department are currently updating its progress report on the relevant section of the programme and details will be supplied to the Deputy when the report is completed.
