Written Answers. - Health and Safety Regulations.

Peter Barry

Question:

147 Mr. Barry asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food if his Department and the State agencies under his control have prepared a safety statement as required under the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work Act, 1989.

Safety statements for headquarters and certain other premises have already been prepared and are under discussion with representatives of the staff of my Department. Safety statements for the remaining premises will be ready shortly for discussion with staff representatives.

I have no function in the day to day operations of the State agencies under the aegis of my Department.
