62 Mr. G. O'Sullivan asked the Minister for Defence if he intends to fill the existing vacancies in the rank of captain and commandant in the Infantry Battalions in the 2nd Line Reserve; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
At present there are five vacancies in the rank of commandant in Second Line Reserve Infantry Battalions. These vacancies will be filled in the normal way subject to the availability of suitable eligible officers. There are no vacancies in those units in the rank of captain.
