Adjournment Debate Matters.

I wish to advise the House of the following matters in respect of which notice has been given to me under Standing Order 20 (3) (a) and the name of the Member in each case: (1) Deputy Sean Ryan — the need for an all-seater sports stadium and the apparent delay in providing same, particularly in the light of the recent directives by FIFA relating to the forthcoming World Cup matches; (2) Deputy Pádraic McCormack — the proposed reconstruction and extension to Kinvara national school, County Galway; (3) Deputy Seán Power — the erection of traffic lights at the Naas road motorway interchange; (4) Deputy Jim Higgins — the need for the Minister for Health to make provision at the Mater Hospital, Dublin, for a heart by-pass operation for a woman in County Mayo who has been on the waiting list for a considerable period of time; (5) Deputy John Ellis — the delay in making cattle headage payments in the Sligo-Leitrim area; (6) Deputy Thomas W. Enright — the deteriorating condition of each of the three post-primary schools in Portlaoise and the urgent necessity for the Minister for Education to provide proper post-primary educational facilities for all of the children in the Portlaoise catchment area; (7) Deputy Patrick J. Sheehan — the serious situation appertaining to a huge number of herd owners who applied in June 1991 for the beef premium scheme and who were refused same owing to minor irregularities in their applications; (8) Deputy Michael Creed — if the Minister for Justice will provide emergency funding to FLAC to enable them to continue services in 1992. (9) Deputy Michael Finucane — the potential unemployment as a result of the liquidation of Kantoher Products Limited in County Limerick; (10) Deputy Pat Rabbitte — the failure of the shared ownership scheme to make any impression on the housing crisis and the inoperability of the scheme as currently structured. (11) Deputy Pat McCartan — the need to provide voting rights for emigrants.

I have selected for discussion the matters raised by Deputies Finucane, Rabbitte and Ryan.
