Written Answers. - Funding for Motorway Lighting.

343 Mr. Ryan asked the Minister for the Environment if he has received an application from Dublin County Council for funding to provide public lighting on a stretch of the N1 motorway from Blake's Cross to Ballough, Lusk, County Dublin; and, if, in view of the number of recent fatalities in this area, he will approve the application.

Dublin County Council have been requested to submit further detailed information regarding their proposal to provide traffic route lighting on the N1 from Blake's Cross to Ballough. Further consideration will be given to the proposal on receipt of this information.
