441 Mr. Allen asked the Minister for Education if he will make a statement on the proposals in the Programme for Economic and Social Progress to allocate an additional £0.5 million in 1992 and £1 million in 1993 for in-service education.

As the Deputy is aware, the provisions in the Programme for Economic and Social Progress have been the subject of ongoing discussions with the social partners. The outcome of these discussions will be reflected in the revised Estimates volume.
