Question:79 Mr. Aylward asked the Minister for Finance if he will arrange early payment of a refund of income tax to a person (details supplied) in County Kilkenny which is due for some time now.
Written Answers. - Tax Refunds.
The inspector of taxes requires certain information from the taxpayer's employer before he can finalise the liability. This was originally requested on 1 July 1991 and an undertaking has now been given that the information will be made available. In the meantime the inspector is making an interim refund of £135 and the matter will be reviewed when the outstanding information is available.

Question:80 Mr. Creed asked the Minister for Finance the reason a person (details supplied) in County Cork is being refused every refund of VAT.
I am informed by the Revenue Commissioners that they have received one application for a refund of VAT from the person concerned, on 23 October 1991.
The person concerned was informed on 5 December 1991 of the option of setting off the refund due to him against his other tax liabilities. On receipt of a response from him, the Revenue Commissioners will finalise his repayment.
