Question:

184 Mr. J. O'Keeffe asked the Minister for the Environment if he will outline the estimated total mileage of public roads in Cork south west and (2) the estimated national primary and national secondary road mileage eligible for 100 per cent grants from the Exchequer.

It is estimated that there are 12,220 kilometres of public roads in Cork city and county. Of these, there are some 242 kilometres of national primary road and 263 kilometres of national secondary road. A breakdown for Cork south-west is not available.
