Written Answers. - School Funding.

Michael Moynihan

Question:

84 Mr. Moynihan asked the Minister for Education if he will outline the total number of (1) primary school and (2) secondary school buildings for which financial provision has been made in the 1992 budget.

Payments will be made in 1992 out of the primary and second level capital allocations in respect of major projects which are ongoing or progessing through the planning stages to the placing of a contract and in respect of minor works, provision of prefabricated accommodation, emergencies and contingencies. In all, it is expected that some 2,000 primary schools and 250 second level schools will benefit.
