Vol. 415 No. 9

Written Answers. - Letting of State Premises.

Michael Noonan

Question:

128 Mr. Noonan (Limerick East) asked the Minister for Justice if he will outline the Government's policy on the letting of premises owned by semi-State organisations to Sinn Féin for the purposes of holding public meetings, in view of the recent such letting of Drumgeely Hall at Shannon by SFADCo for such purposes.

The subject matter of the question has not been considered specifically by the Government but it would be in keeping with the Government's general policy of opposition to organisations who approve of the use of violence for political ends not to afford such organisation the use of property in the ownership of the State or in the ownership of bodies funded by the State.
