Question:153 Mr. Boylan asked the Minister for Social Welfare if he made an allocation from the loan guarantee fund to the St. Vincent de Paul Society in Cavan; and if so, the amount thereof.
Written Answers. - Loan Guarantee Fund.
The loan guarantee fund was set up to assist low income families in difficulty with moneylenders and is administered by the Society of St. Vincent de Paul, on behalf of my Department.
The society has informed my Department that an amount of £7,500 has already been made available from the fund in Cavan.
