Question:

112 Mr. Ryan asked the Minister for Defence whether the allocation of man-days for annual training and special courses for 1992 has yet been determined; if so, if he will outline the allocation by (a) command and (b) corps; and if he will further outline by (1) location and (2) command the allocation and take up of security duties man-days for the years 1987 to 1991 inclusive and the month of January, 1992; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

The provision in the Defence Estimate for 1992 under the heading of annual training and casual security duties for An Fórsa Cosanta Áitiúil and An Slua Muirí will cater for 63,000 man-days. The allocation of man-days for each command is as follows:

The allocation by each command to the various corps within the commands is not yet available.
The following table shows man-days taken up by security duties during the period 1987 to 1991. The figures in respect of January 1992 are not yet available.
