Question:

193 Mr. Yates asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food if eligibility under the beef premium scheme will be reviewed for a person (details supplied) in County Wexford in view of the fact that his disallowance related to one animal only; and if, in view of the fact that this related to an error at the point of purchase, and not his own fault, he will have the matter reconsidered.

A task force has been set up in my Department to examine, among other matters, problems in the special beef premium scheme. The task force is due to report before the end of this month. Any recommendations it makes in regard to applications which contain errors will be fully considered.
