My Department have on hands an application for a fish culture licence under the Fisheries (Consolidation) Act, 1959, in respect of a land based trout rearing unit to be based at Ballylongford.
Prior to further consideration of the application, my Department require the applicant to have received permission under the planning Acts and a discharge licence under the Water Pollution Acts from the relevant local authority.
I understand that Kerry County Council have the relevant applications under consideration at present.
