Vol. 416 No. 6

Written Answers. - National Lottery Funds.

Michael Moynihan

Question:

320 Mr. Moynihan asked the Minister for the Environment whether an application has been made for a contribution from the proceeds of the national lottery by Miltown GAA Club, County Kerry; and if so, when a decision will be made on the application.

An application for this purpose was included in the list of applications recommended by Kerry County Council under the amenities/recreational grants scheme for 1991 but, because of the limited funds available, it was not possible to allocate a grant to the project. In the event of a similar scheme being introduced in the future, it would, of course, be open to sponsors of projects which did not receive an allocation under the 1991 scheme to submit a fresh application for a grant.
