Vol. 416 No. 6

Written Answers. - Land Commission Offices Sale.

Michael Bell

Question:

90 Mr. Bell asked the Minister for Finance if he will outline the net receipts which have been or will be received by the State in respect of the sale of the former Land Commission offices in Upper Merrion Street, Dublin 2; if he will confirm that these capital receipts will be used to offset the refurbishment of the Government Buildings, previously the College of Science, and if he will make a statement on the matter.

The net receipts which will be received by the State in respect of the sale of Nos. 21 to 33 Upper Merrion Street will amount to approximately £4.5 million, excluding some expenses to be incurred in the relocation of Department of Agriculture and Food records, currently accommodated in No. 24.

Money accruing from the sale of these houses will be credited to the Exchequer.
