Adjournment Debate Matters.

I wish to advise the House of the following matters in respect of which notice has been given to the Ceann Comhairle under Standing Order 20 (3) (a) and the name of the Member in each case: Deputy Gregory: the proposals to provide a central incinerator for hospital waste for all Dublin hospitals at James's Street Hospital in Dublin 8 and residents' concerns at these proposals; Deputy Reynolds: if the Minister for Education will clarify the position regarding students who wish to repeat sixth class at primary school level and in particular the situation appertaining at Drumshanbo national school, County Leitrim; Deputy Dukes: the question of Government funding for Rural Resettlement Ireland, in order to contribute to the renovation of suitable vacant houses and the provision of an information and introduction system; Deputy Rabbitte: the announcement by the Minister for Health to scale back the proposed Tallaght Regional Hospital to a 350-bed unit and the implications of this decision for the catchment area to be served by the hospital; Deputy Byrne: the serious concern of residents in the community surrounding St. James's Hospital, Dublin, at the plans of the hospital to build a large central incinerator for the burning of hospital waste from all the city hospitals; Deputy Gilmore: the subject matter of the replies to Questions Nos. 197 and 198 of 10 March 1992 concerning provision of primary school facilities for children in the Ballyogan Estate in County Dublin; Deputy McEllistrim: if the Minister for the Environment will make a grant available to the central water scheme, Farmers Bridge, in order to start stage 5 of the group water scheme to take a water supply to Kielduff, Tralee; Deputy Garland: the continued failure by the Minister for Education to provide a post-primary school at Knocklyon, County Dublin; and Deputy Ryan: the application for a remedial teacher for St. Marnock's national school, Portmarnock and, given the needs of the school, whether the Minister for Education will sanction the provision of same as a matter of urgency.

The Ceann Comhairle has selected for discussion the matters raised by the following Deputies: Deputies Gerry Reynolds, Byrne and McEllistrim.
