Vol. 417 No. 5

Written Answers. - Tax Liability.

John Ellis

Question:

120 Mr. Ellis asked the Minister for Finance if his Department will give a tax rebate to a person (details supplied) in County Leitrim.

I have been advised by the Revenue Commissioners that the inspector of taxes has been unable to date, to obtain details of pay and tax deducted in respect of a previous employment within the current tax year 1991-92. The inspector is continuing his efforts to obtain this information from the employer concerned.

Due to the proximity of the end of the tax year on 5 April 1992, any refund of tax paid which may be due, will be issued by the inspector on receipt of the relevant information.
