Question:284 Mr. Kenny asked the Minister for the Environment when he expects to be in a position to approve an extension of the Achill Sound water scheme to Owenduff, Achill, and if he will make a statement on the matter.

Proposals for this extension have only recently been received in my Department and are under examination. It is not possible at this stage to indicate when a decision will be made.
