Vol. 417 No. 5

Written Answers. - Legal Regulations Governing Residency Permits.

Ruairí Quinn

Question:

59 Mr. Quinn asked the Minister for Justice if his attention has been drawn to the concern of many people about the lack of clarity and transparency in relation to the administration of the legal regulations governing residency permits, naturalisation and other matters concerning non-Irish citizens; if he proposes to introduce any changes in his Department; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

I am not aware of any concern in regard to the matters referred to by the Deputy, as no such concern has been brought to my attention.

If the Deputy is aware of the nature and the source of the concern mentioned in the question, and if he will convey the information to me, I will certainly consider the matter.
