57 Mr. Pattison asked the Minister for Finance if, in view of the severe unemployment crisis, he will outline the proposals he is prepared to implement to facilitate additional voluntary long term job sharing arrangements in the public service; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

In the Civil Service, which is the area of my responsibility, job-sharing arrangements are currently available on a long term voluntary basis.
