110 Mr. Gilmore asked the Minister for Education if he will outline the number of students who sat (a) the leaving certificate and (b) who took the leaving certificate vocational programme in the academic years in 1989-90 and 1990-91.

The figure of 2,714 represents the number of students in the first year of the vocational leaving certificate programme which commenced in 1989-90.
