My Department constantly reviews its staffing needs, priorities tasks to be undertaken and redeploys staff and other resources to ensure that its functions — including those relating to EC activities — are adequately fulfilled.
Arising from a recent review of its staffing needs, my Department requested and has recently received sanction for the recruitment of additional technical and administrative staff, mainly for EC related work. Arrangements are in train to recruit these staff. The appointment of the additional staff will ensure that the Department will continue to be able to fulfil all its responsibilities adequately.
