Question:

110 Mr. Barry asked the Minister for Finance if has any plans to amend the Lotteries Act to prevent a cornering of the major prizes as occurred recently in the US.

There are no plans to amend the National Lottery Act, 1986 on the lines suggested by the Deputy.

The National Lottery Company are currently looking at the question of whether the rules for the Lotto game should be amended in this area and what form any amendments should take.
