Vol. 419 No. 1

Written Answers. - Social Welfare Benefit.

Michael Bell

Question:

180 Mr. Bell asked the Minister for Social Welfare the reason for the delay in processing the unemployment assistance appeal of a person (details supplied) in County Louth.

The person concerned applied for unemployment assistance from 22 January 1992. His means were assessed at £37.15 per week, based on his spouse's earnings.

The person concerned appealed this decision to the independent social welfare appeals office. The appeal was referred to an appeals officer who has upheld the deciding officer's decision. The person concerned will be notified of this decision as soon as possible.
