141 Mr. McCormack asked the Minister for the Environment if he will outline the proposals, if any, he has to make the new proposed western distributor road, from Galway to Barna, a national primary road; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

I have no plans to upgrade this road to national primary status as it would not meet the criteria laid down for this classification.
