Vol. 419 No. 6

Written Answers. - Tralee (Kerry) Geriatric Beds.

Dick Spring

Question:

154 Mr. Spring asked the Minister for Health if his attention has been drawn to the shortage of geriatric beds in the Tralee area; and the measures he intends to take to improve this situation.

The provision of an adequate number of geriatric beds in the Tralee area is a matter for the Southern Health Board. The Board do not accept that there is a shortage of such beds in the Tralee area and I agree with their assessment.
