185 Mr. Kenny asked the Minister for Tourism, Transport and Communications if she will outline the position regarding the supply of cable television service to Castlebar, County Mayo; and if she will make a statement on the matter.
The cable television franchise for Castlebar has been awarded to Cable Management Ireland Ltd.
The holder of the cable franchise has certain obligations to meet before a cable licence can be issued and service provided. The company is currently in course of complying with these conditions and my Department is keeping in touch with them on the matter.
