I seek your permission, a Cheann Comhairle, to move the adjournment of the Dáil under Standing Order 30 to raise the most urgent and serious dispute in An Post — which has been worsened by the breakdown in talks yeaterday — and to investigate all the means possible whereby this dispute will be resolved.

Having considered the matter fully I do not consider it to be one contemplated by Standing Order 30. Therefore, I cannot grant leave to move the motion. As the House is aware the Deputy had this matter debated on the Adjournment last night when the latest developments on this ongoing dispute were well known.
