Question:

27 Mr. Quinn asked the Minister for Education if he will give details of the 28 smaller projects at ten regional colleges which are to be funded under the community support framework; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

Details of projects at the ten regional colleges which are funded under the Community Support Framework are as follows:

Athlone RTC — Multipurpose Centre, Information Technology, Lecture Rooms, Laboratory Upgrading.

Carlow RTC — Multipurpose Centre, Information Technology, Laboratory Upgrading.

Limerick College of Art, Commerce and Technology — Information Technology.

Cork RTC — Information Technology, Laboratory Upgrading, Lecture Rooms.

Dundalk RTC — Multipurpose Centre, Information Technology, Lecture Rooms, Laboratory Upgrading.

Galway RTC — Information Technology, Hotel Training Facilities, Lecture Rooms.

Letterkenny RTC — Information Technology, Lecture Rooms, Laboratory Upgrading.

Sligo RTC — Information Technology, Laboratories, Upgrading, Multipurpose Centre.

Tralee RTC — Hotel Training Facilities, Laboratory Upgrading.

Waterford RTC — Multipurpose Centre, Information Technology, Lecture Rooms, Laboratory Upgrading.

Considerable progress has been made to date on the implementation of the programme with £5.8 million already expended out of a total projected cost of £13.3 million.
