145 Mr. J. Bruton asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food when there will be a further opportunity for Meath projects or groups to apply for assistance under the Leader programme, in view of the fact that no Meath scheme was sanctioned in the present round.

The availability funding under the EC's Leader programme, which runs to the end of 1993, has been allocated. Sixteen Leader groups in Ireland were selected by the European Commission for total funding of £35 million. The EC has made no decision in relation to the post 1993 situation.
