Vol. 419 No. 10

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Departmental Entertainment Expenses.

Mervyn Taylor

Question:

11 Mr. Taylor asked the Minister for Tourism, Transport and Communications the departmental budget for entertainment expenses for each of the last five years together with the estimated figure for 1992; and if she will make a statement on the trend indicated.

The information sought by the Deputy is set out in a tabular statement which I propose to have circulated in the Official Report.

Expenditure on entertainment has varied from year to year depending particularly on the number of delegations from abroad coming to Ireland for bilateral discussions and for international conferences hosted by my Department. Expenditure in 1991 included expenses associated with the holding of the Cosmic Ray Conference in Dublin.
