Question:35 Mr. J. Higgins asked the Minister for Justice the reason for the delay in finalising the transfer of a farm for a person (details supplied) in County Mayo.
Written Answers. - Mayo Farm Transfer Delay.
I am informed by the Registrar of Titles that there are two related applications involved in the case in question, one a Land Commission Schedule lodged in the Land Registry on 17 October 1988, the other a dealing lodged on 12 December 1989.
Due to the pressure of work in the Land Registry generally, there is, at present, a delay in dealing with applications of the type in question. I am further informed, however, that the transactions are at an advanced stage and that registration in both cases will be finalised shortly.
