Question:

68 Mr. Ryan asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food if a previous Minister for Agriculture and Food had approved the sale of a parcel of land by Teagasc at Kinsealy, County Dublin in the 1988-90 period, and, if so, if he will outline (a) the acreage of the land in question and (b) the price secured for the land.

I propose to take Questions Nos. 67 and 68 together.

Two tenders were received for the 53 acres put on the market recently, which included a disused house. The highest tender was for £227,500.

Ministerial approval for the sale of approximately 6.5 acres of land was given in July 1989. The price obtained was £110,000.
