Vol. 420 No. 6

Written Answers. - Nursing Service.

Eric J. Byrne

Question:

115 Mr. Byrne asked the Minister for Health the reason a nursing service (details supplied) is no longer available for pregnant diabetic women; if he will reinstate the service; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

The Coombe Hospital provides weekly clinics at Tallaght for routine ante-natal services for pregnant women.

The Deputy will appreciate, however, that, for medical reasons, some patients who require special tests and/or monitoring are referred to the hospital rather than the outlying clinic.
