Question:76 Mr. Allen asked the Minister for Justice if he has satisfied himself that there is sufficient personnel available for comprehensive foot patrols in the Cork city area both in the city and suburbs.
Written Answers. - Cork City Garda Foot Patrols.
The Garda authorities inform me that regular foot patrols are carried out throughout Cork city and suburbs by local officers. In addition, they inform me that there are nine community gardaí who perform full-time foot patrols in Cork city. The Garda authorities are satisfied that the current policing arrangements for Cork are adequate to meet the needs of the area.
