164 Mr. J. Bruton and Mr. J. Mitchell asked the Minister for the Environment if the European Commission has indicated any dissatisfaction to Ireland regarding the manner in which this country is implementing the EC's 1983 Directive on environmental impact assessment.

A letter was received some time ago from the EC Commission in relation to certain aspects of the transposition into Irish law of Directive 85/337 on Environmental Impact Assessment. A full response to the matters raised has been transmitted to the Commission.
