Question:121 Mr. Yates asked the Minister for Tourism, Transport and Communications if the Government have considered any proposal to privatise or sell any shares in Telecom Éireann; and if she will make a statement on the matter.
Written Answers. - Telecom Éireann Shares.
I would refer the Deputy to the replies given by my predecessor to similar questions on 5 November 1991 and 29 January of this year when he stated that, in relation to the privatisation of Telecom Éireann, no formal consideration of the matter by Government had yet taken place and that there were no proposals before the Government regarding the future of Telecom Éireann.
There has been no change in the position since then.
