Vol. 421 No. 1

Written Answers. - Criminal Activity.

James C. Tunney

Question:

39 Mr. Tunney asked the Minister for Justice if his attention has been drawn to the situation whereby certain individuals are contracting to carry out house improvements operating from addresses and indeed telephone numbers at which they are are not contactable when they have defrauded the clients; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

I am informed by the Garda authorities that they are not aware of any alleged criminal activity as referred to by the Deputy. If information relating to any such activity is available, it should be brought to the attention of the gardaí so that the matter can be investigated.
