Question:279 Mr. J. Higgins asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food if he will give details of the new milk quota arrangements which will be introduced shortly.

At the conclusion of the negotiations on the reform of the Common Agricultural Policy, the Council of Agricultural Ministers agreed that the milk quota regime which shall be applicable from 1 April 1993 would be decided upon by the Council before the end of 1992 on the basis of the proposals from the EC Commission.
