Vol. 421 No. 5

Written Answers. - Application for Hearing Aid.

Austin Deasy

Question:

110 Mr. Deasy asked the Minister for Education if he will approve the issue of one of his Department's special hearing aids to a person (details supplied) in County Waterford, in view of the fact that the person has the support of his Department's inspector in this regard.

The child in question received a radio aid in 1986 from the National Rehabilitation Board and inquiries made by my Department suggest that this continues to work satisfactorily.

In the circumstances I am sure the Deputy will appreciate that the sanctioning of an additional radio aid does not arise.
