Question:138 Mr. J. Mitchell asked the Minister for the Environment if he will confirm that he has received a request from Dublin Corporation for approval of their lay-out plans of a proposed scheme of 41 senior citizens' dwellings at Aughrim Street, Halliday Road, Dublin 7; if so, if he will outline the date on which the request was received; if he accepts that the site in question, which is now derelict for 18 years, is overdue for development and that it has been a source of vandalism and of annoyance to nearby residents; and if he will now approve the lay-out plans so that other preparatory work can proceed and tenders be sought so that development may commence in 1993.
