I propose to take Questions Nos. 48, 49, 50, 51, 52, 53 and 54 together.
I am informed by the Garda authorities that the number of indictable crimes recorded for the sub-districts referred to by the Deputy for the years 1980, 1985 and 1990 are as set out in the tabular statement below. Figures for 1991 are not yet available.
Crime statistics are compiled on a divisional and not a county basis. Figures for the Louth/Meath Garda Division are available in the Garda Commissioner's Annual Report on Crime copies of which are available in the Oireachtas Library.
