Question:46 Mr. Ferris asked the Minister for Finance if he proposes to review or change the existing procedures whereby the State guarantees the loans of semi-State and public bodies; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

I do not propose to make any change in Government policy relating to State guarantees, which is that they be issued only where absolutely necessary.
