Vol. 423 No. 1

Written Answers. - School Bus Pass.

Tony Gregory

Question:

192 Mr. Gregory asked the Minister for Education if he will review the decision to refuse a school bus pass to a child (details supplied) in Dublin 3 to travel to the North Bay National School Project, Greendale Avenue, Dublin 5, in view of the fact that (a) this school is the most accessible by direct bus route and (b) the only other non-denominational national school, the north Dublin National School Project, Glasnevin has no places available and a five year waiting list and would involve travelling by bus into the city centre and from there out to Glasnevin.

In view of the particular circumstances of this case, transport will be provided for this child, as an exceptional matter, to attend the North Bay School Project. The necessary arrangements are being made.
