433 Mr. Bradford asked the Minister for Social Welfare the reason for the delay in appointing a clerical assistant to the Social Welfare Office in Mallow, County Cork in view of the commitment given to such an appointment over 12 months ago.
Since my predecessor's reply to a similar question from the Deputy on 5 February 1991, my Department's operations have been restructured on a regional basis.
The Cork Regional Manager has now completed his examination of the Department's facilities in the region and it is expected that clerical assistance will be provided in the Mallow office in the near future.
