Vol. 423 No. 8

Written Answers. - County Limerick School Accommodation.

Michael Noonan

Question:

127 Mr. Noonan (Limerick East) asked the Minister for Education if his attention has been drawn to the inadequacy of the accommodation at a school (details supplied) in County Limerick; the plans, if any, he has to provide appropriate accommodation either by the construction of a new school or the allocation of rooms in an existing primary school on the north side of the city which are not being used at present for classes.

I am aware of the position regarding accommodation in the school in Limerick referred to by the Deputy. My Department are currently examining a report received recently on the options available regarding the provision of alternative accommodation for the school. A meeting with the school management to discuss the matter will be arranged shortly.
