Question:111 Mr. Creed asked the Minister for Education when a decision will be made on an application by a person (details supplied) in County Cork for school transport facilities.

Free transport is provided only to the nearest national school.
A child seeking transport to a school other than the child's nearest school, as in this case, may avail of fare-paying concessionary transport to the school in question, subject to the conditions specified in my earlier reply to the Deputy.
The child's parents have already been informed of the position.
