I understand that the statutory request from Cork County Council to the Local Appointments Commissioners requesting them to recommend a person for appointment to the office of county manager was received by the commissioners on 16 October 1992. The making of arrangements for the selection of a suitable candidate for recommendation to the county council is now a matter for the commissioners.
