Question:319 Mr. J. Higgins asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry the reason for the delay in payment of an installation grant to a person (details supplied) in County Mayo whose application seems to be in order.
Written Answers. - Young Farmer Installation Premiums.
Arising from the requirments of the relevant EC Regulation, the processing of applications for the young farmer installation premium is a complex and sometimes lengthy process. It is hoped to have examination of this application concluded shortly.
My officials, at my request, are at present examining the installation aid rules with a view to ensuring the most effective application of the scheme.
